What is the CAP Certification?
The Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) rating is the achievement of the internationally recognized standard of proficiency as an administrative professional. The CAP designation is provided through the IAAP-International Association of Administrative Professionals at www.iaap-hq.org.

Our extensive, 14-week program gives you the necessary review of exam material that other shorter courses do not provide. Certification is obtained by passing a three-part, one-day examination through the IAAP. SBDC's qualified instructor will guide you through a review of the subject matter that will be covered in the exam. This course does not teach in-depth on the subject areas, but will provide an extensive review. In addition to the review course, individual study is essential in order to pass the CAP exam.
Are YOU Qualified to Take the CAP Exam?
To qualify to take the CAP Exam you will either need formal education, work experience or a combination of the two. Listed below are the prerequisites required for all applicants to take the CAP examination (not the CAP Review course). There are no educational requirements in order to take the CAP Review course.
Education: Experience Required:
No degree 4 years
Associate degree 3 years
Bachelor's degree 2 years
