This 16-hour class introduces law enforcement officers to the Drug Recognition Expert program and gives them the tools they need to recognize a drug impaired driver and understand the roles and responsibilities of a DRE. This class does not qualify an officer to be a DRE.
Law enforcement officers attending this course must be proficient in administering Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and be able to successfully complete a proficiency examination or they will not be allowed to complete the course.
The class qualifies for 16 hours of POST and CLE credit.
